This

is

known

by

a

swelling

between

the

jaw-bone

and

the

root

of

the

tongue.

If

a

large

tumour

appear

under

the

jaw,

apply

the

suppurating

poultice.

When

it

is

ripe,

open

it,

squeeze

out

the

matter,

and

re-

apply

a

warm

poultice.

In

a

few

days

it

will

run

oflf.

Give

warm

bran

mashes

and

exercise.
