given

to

horse

as

soon

as

it

can

prepared,

has

six

hours

after,

give

him

a

purging

drink,

and

repeat

it

every night

and

morn

ing

until

a

passage

is

obtained,

or

the

bowels

are

sufficiently

opened.

Take

of

soap-liniment

and

camphorated

spirits

of

wine,

of

each

ounces,

and

oil

of

turpentine,

Mix,

and

shake

when

used.

This

evaporating

and

discutient

embrocation

is

well

calculated

to

remove

pain

and

inflammation,

which

is

generally

effected

in

the

course

of

a

fort-

night

or

three

weeks.

During

that

time

the

horse

should

not

be

allowed

to

go

out

of

the

stable

or

farm-yard.
