Treatment.
—
As
soon
as
the
beast
is
discovered
to
be
either
hoven
or
blown,
by
eating
too
great
a
quantity
of
succulent
grasses,
let
a
purging-drink
be
given
:
this
will,
for
the
most
part,
check
fermenta-
tion
in
the
stomach,
and
in
a
very
short
time
force
a
passage
through
the
intestines.

all
the

into

pitcher,

purge

animal
of

By
strict
attention
to
the
above
method
of
application,
a
fever

prevented,

the
animal
speedily
