“Ladies Day Out,” on November 8th was a delightful excursion to the Gardens Mall. Following a
champagne sendoff in the nineteenth hole, Adele McDougall, of the Marketing Department, which
planned and arranged everything for the day, accompanied most of the women to the mall on the French-
man’s Shuttle, which left at 9:45 a.m. At the mall, they met up with those women who drove, and with a
guest services representative from the mall staff. She presented everyone with a gift bag containing
information and favors (bags are featured below.) The mall representative and Adele accompanied the
group throughout the day. The itinerary included eight retail shops where there were various cosmetic
demonstrations and opportunities to shop, with refreshments and drinks, as well as gifts, at each one.
There was also a drawing for a prize at each location.
After the shops, there was a wonderful wine tasting at Cooper’s Hawk. Everyone had a choice from three
separate tastings menus, with eight wines in each. At the end, each “taster” chose the wine she liked
best and received a gift bottle of that wine.
The day concluded with a lunch at Brio with more drawings for gift certificates to the mall. All in all, it was
a wonderful day. Thank you to Adele and the marketing department for a super job. All look forward to
the next one on December 13th.
