In 1960 PS Costruzioni Meccaniche Srl started manu-

facturing cable take-ups and pay-off stands for the major

Italian cable manufacturers, expanding to produce semi-

automatic coiling/spooling lines rewinding lines.

Production then experienced another important step,

thanks to the introduction of fully automatic coiling/spooling

lines, and since then the company has established itself as

one of the most important cable packaging systems

manufacturers.

The company’s semi-automatic lines – models PS 80 MBN

and PS 85 MBN are still a relevant part of the business and

demand has remained stable in the market over the years.

PS 80 technical characteristics

:

multiple insulated flexible cables having an OD from

1mm-6mm

multiple insulated solid cables having an OD from 1mm-

4mm

Production

:

0.75-1.5 coils/spools 100m/min dependent on the operator

and the wire type to be wound. The minimum section

flexible cable is 3 x 0.75mm

; max section, up to a semi-

solid cable 1 x 50mm

2

. The max linear speed is 400m/min.

PS 85 technical characteristics

:

multiple insulated flexible cables having a diameter from

4mm-15mm

multiple insulated solid cables with a diameter up to

10mm (size 35mm

2

)

flat cables 16 x 7

Production

:

0.75-1.5 coils/spools 100m/min dependent on the operator

and the wire type to be wound. Min section flexible cable

PWM, a leading designer and manufacturer of cold pressure

welding equipment and dies, will exhibit its comprehensive

range of top quality manual welders.

The range includes hand-held, bench and trolley-mounted

models, with capacities ranging from 0.10mm up to 3.60mm

copper and 5.00mm aluminium. Durable, reliable and easy

to use, PWM manual welders will join non-ferrous wire and

strip quickly and cost-effectively without heat, flux, fillers or

fumes. No set up time is required and the bond created is

stronger than the parent material.

The M10, M25 and M30 hand-held portable machines are

ideal for repairing wire breaks quickly and efficiently in

confined spaces.

Comfortable

to

hold and simple to

operate, they have

capacities ranging

from 0.10mm to

1.80mm copper/

aluminium.

The BM10 and

BM30 models use

industry standard

dies to provide a

reliable weld on

materials with capacities of 0.10mm to 1.80mm. They can

be used either mounted on a workbench or a mobile trolley.

Light hand pressure on the operating lever completes the

weld in seconds. The largest machine on show, the M101,

is a strong, heavy-duty machine, which is simple to operate

and easy to maintain, due to the small number of

component parts. One of PWM’s best-selling models,

the M101, which has a capacity of 1.00 to 3.60mm copper

and 1.00 to 5.00mm EC aluminium, can be bench-mounted

or supplied with a trolley for portability and convenience.

The PWM range also includes powered air/hydraulic,

electro/pneumatic and electro/hydraulic cold welders,

with capacities from 1.00mm up to 25mm copper and

30.00mm aluminium.
