TEPPFA welcomes members
across the supply chain
The European Plastic Pipes and Fittings
Association (TEPPFA) has announced
that global manufacturer Borealis
is one of its first associate supplier
members, following the broadening of
its membership policy.
TEPPFA works to represent its members’
views and concerns at an international
level, guiding new legislation and policy,
as well as promoting best practice.
In order to ensure that the full spectrum
of the industry is fairly represented,
TEPPFA expanded its membership remit
to include suppliers of raw materials and
additives to the sector.
Borealis, a provider of solutions in the
fields of polyolefins, base chemicals and
fertilisers, was quick to take advantage
of the association’s expansion.
The polyolefin products manufactured
by Borealis form the basis of many
plastics applications. The company
works closely with its customers and
industry partners to provide plastics
solutions that make end products safer,
lighter, more affordable and adaptable.
“Borealis welcomes the opportunity
to work closely with relevant
sector organisations representing
manufacturers of plastic products,” said
Anton Wolfsberger, head of marketing
consumer products and pipe at Borealis.
“Our company has collaborated with
TEPPFA on several projects over the
years and is delighted to now have the
opportunity to build on that relationship
by becoming an associated member
of TEPPFA, and we look forward to
being involved in many future projects
and initiatives related to the plastic
pipes industry.”
Building on its inclusive strategy,
TEPPFA is keen to welcome more new
members from across the supply chain
to add their voice to the pan-European
platform and help shape the future of the
industry. In addition to representing its
members in industry talks and debates,
TEPPFA is a source of information
on the plastic pipe systems industry,
hosting a library of reports and guides
on its website.
