Today Sri Ganesh it is like
You disappear
To let the Shakti be,
Or you become the Shakti,
Or you are the Shakti,
And you stand impassive,
Draped in Her victorious light,
But you also wear a hint
Of smiling reverence, a tinge
Of exuberance =
The Deed is done,
The Path is cleared
For a new step –
And your knowledge, Sri Ganesh,
Is married and brimming with
Her
Irresistible Intent –
Aum.
But, Sri Ganesh, I ask you,
Who will take care
Of this country
That is being ruined and
Poisoned and defaced
And plundered and betrayed
By its own people?
Who?

You are the gracious host,
Her envoy and
Secret Assessor,
Missioned by Her
To assay
The presence of gold in the midst
Of humanity –
And whoever comes to you
Finds
