Sri Ganesh,
Because your very figure
Is itself one
Of conciliation
And integration,
Your gentle leadership can be
Most effective, -
And as you amble among the troops,
Your knowing gaze,
Your dancing gait,
Your most refined adornments
And your absolute
Simplicity
Lift all hearts
To the threshold
Of happy unity –
But it is not your law,
As it is not Her Way,
To insist =
Each and every one
Must choose
And choose again,
Till the world’s peace
May receive
The Lord…

Innumerable creatures and forces
That are noxious, nasty, nefarious –
Why had they rebelled
Against the One Law…?
Because this very possibility
Had to be resolved
By the experiential
Development of the true soul…
