And the jewels and the honey
That were drawn to you,
Lit with bursts
Of joyful and wise knowledge
Of all obstacles
And
All obscurities –
A warrior, a sorcerer,
An eternal Child
Of Aum,

You stand at the threshold,
Sweet gold and fire,
Tender and loyal,
The incorruptible Guardian
Of Her inner domains,
And before you are laid
The offerings to
The Lord and the Shakti –
Your figure is of a welcome
And luminous ushering
To those who come
With truth in their hearts –
While you appear
Massive and uncompromising
To those who would
Misuse the moment –
Gentle, exquisite, a song
Of fulfilling harmony,
Entirely offered
And given
To the Shakti,
Is your stance,
And all your knowledge
Is
At Her Service –
