Of its potent existence –
Thus wrapped
In a heaving, weaving motion,
Brimming with warmth and color,
You seem to reach out,
Invite and embrace,
A living, glowing promise
Of delight…

Today Sri Ganesh
You seem to be seated
On a raised dais
Among the crowds
Of the Great Court –
You hold no title
And claim no dominance -
The universal grace
Of your being,
The clear-sightedness
Of your knowledge,
The auspicious friendliness
Of your figure =
These inspire and draw
Every force and every soul
To lay about you
Their hopes and their offerings –
And thus the dais
On which you sit
Is radiant with
Tender light,
Sweet fire,
And
An abundance
Of blessings…
Aum.
