CONCLUSIONS

The overall conclusion of this FSA is that the storage installation had been risk assessed and

the automatic overfill protection system specified to provide an appropriate level of

functional safety. A further LOPA along the PSLG guidelines will need to be conducted

prior to any change of use to allow gasoline storage. A number of detailed recommendations

have been made where either relevant elements of the overall BS EN 61511 lifecycle have

not yet been completed, or where improvements could be made to the information package

that has been prepared to support the project.

Comments noted above will be incorporated Safety Requirement Specification and the

system will be revised to Stage 1 FSA Status.
