Community Carol Singing on Xmas Eve, and the usual Boxing Day and New Year's Eve
Parties. The Boxing Day Football Match was revived when New Members challenged the
Old.
Finally the Winter Trial on Sunday the 23rd.
Advance Notice of the Victory Ball to be held in the Town Hall on January 18th, Music by
J. Carr and his Band. Tickets 10/6 including refreshments, was given.
The Motor Club Journal had appeared throughout the 5 years of War, due to the untiring
efforts of the Editor, T. A. (Army) Hanson, and the constant assistance of the Stokeld
Brothers, the Printers, commented on Parking Problems and Petrol Supplies.
Credit must also be given to W. (Bill) Oliver for his work for the Savings Scheme, and his
proposal for the Spitfire Fund.
To the Ladies Committee for their labours for the Comforts Fund, and all the other
Charitable Efforts undertaken by the Club.
So ended the 5 weary years of the War, during which we proudly proclaim that THE
MIDDLESBROUGH & DISTRICT MOTOR CLUB did its bit.
New Members elected; 41, including Mr & Mrs T. A. Flavell, Mrs R. Bradley, Mr & Mrs S.
Harker, Miss L. Harrison & Harry Whitfield.
Associates Elected; 41, including J. H. Bean, C. E. Eraser, & D. Connett.
At the Annual General Meeting it was reported that the Membership was 489, Full 376,
Associates 113.
Finance; Distributed to Charities £90-3--10,
Transferred to the Reserve Fund - £400, Profit for the Year - £152-12-9.
Balance of Assets over Liabilities - £1,711-3-3.
