• Table 2b are Listeria strains analyzed at 3M St. Paul, MN laboratory 25
• Cultures 51-5463 were obtained from the laboratory o at Cornell University, NY and from Deutsche Sammlung von 26
Mikroorganismen und Zellkulturen GmbH, Germany.. Frozen suspensions were thawed and streaked to sheep blood agar. Single isolated colonies were 27
picked and sub-cultured in 10 mL Demi Fraser broth with FAC overnight at 37 ± 1°C. The cultures were diluted with fresh Demi Fraser broth with FAC 28
before testing using the 3M MDA2LIS kit. 29
