THE HOSPITAL MUDDLE
The ambulance raced through the streets taking the
young man and his father to the local hospital. The fa-
ther was not badly injured but the son was rushed into
emergency surgery. The surgeon took one look at him
and cried, "I cannot operate - that is my son!"
Please explain!
MARCH SOLUTION
The postcard, or any small piece of paper or card, can be
cut into one long continous strip which will open out to
make a large loop, by cutting it as shown in illustration.
If the number of cuts is large enough, then the loop
made from postcard will be big enough to step
through.
