Table of Fees in Circuit Court Matters

The following

Table of Counsel's Fees in the Circuit Court has been approved by the Bar

Council to operate from the 1st October,

1981

Contract and Tort:

Fee on Brief (i) Plaintiffs Counsel where the amount or

value of specific chattels recovered; or (ii) Defendant's

Counsel where the amount or value of chattels sued for:

(a) exceeds £ 2 5 0 but does not exceed £ 5 0 0 —

£ 3 8 . 95

(b) exceeds £ 5 0 0 but does not exceed £ 1 , 0 00 —

£ 5 1 . 45

(c) exceeds £ 1 , 0 0 0 but does not exceed £ 1 , 5 00 —

£ 6 8 . 25

(d) exceeds £ 1 , 5 0 0 but does not exceed £ 2 , 0 00 —

£ 8 0 . 35

Fee on Settling Civil Bill or Defence, on Advising Proofs

and on Consultation:-

Where the amount referred to above does not

exceed £ 1 , 0 00 — £ 1 6 . 80

exceeds £ 1 , 0 0 0 — £ 2 1 . 00
