EVENTS FOR FAMILIES

SATURDAY 13TH MAY

Open Day for Shell Entry

9.00am – 1.00pm, the Hall

Talks, tours and lunch.

Headliner:

Low Island

7.30pm,The NorthWall

We are delighted to welcome this term’s

headline act, the alt-rock band Low

Island, who are rapidly making a name for

themselves. With a line-up featuring recent

OSE Carlos Posada, Felix Higginbottom

and Jamie Jay, along with Jacob Lively, the

band’s music resonates with the themes

of early adulthood: ‘A lot of our lyrics are

about quite simple experiences we and

our friends have gone through in recent

years. We’re all in our mid-twenties, which

seems like quite a formative moment in

life’. Wonderland Magazine said, ‘Low

Island fuse together electronic and acoustic

waves, creating chilled-out, road-trip-

worthy tunes. Named after a small rock

in the Atlantic, Low Island look to their

local Oxford music scene and typical 20s

angst to create sounds made of shuffling

melodies and emotive lyricism’.

Free of charge, no booking required.

At The North Wall

Time After Time

12.00 – 4.00pm

Two artists present work on the theme

of time, ‘perhaps the most slippery of the

essential concepts’. Through prints and

photographs, the artists highlight their

sense of the fragmented, illusory nature

of time.

Free of charge, no booking required.
