MRI Perfusion
• Perfusion MRI provides a relative measurement of the
parameters of microvascularisation:
regional blood volume
mean transit time
regional blood flow
• It relies on the use of a tracer (usually Gadolinium)
• The signal change during the first pass of the contrast
agent allows perfusion parameters to be extracted.
