ECJC Warriors In Home

Opener Sat. Against GCJC

A. J. Kilpatrick, the new

head football coach at East

Central Junior College, said of

his team, "We have had a

good fall practice and are

looking forward to the rest of

the season. "

The team will take on Gulf

Coast

in

the first home game

of the year on Saturday,

September 11. Kilpatrick and

his assistants , David

Bradberry and Freeman Hor·

ton, have been organizing the

team to get the right people

in

the right places.

"Our defense has looked

good and is ahead of the of·

fe nse at this time. The

sophomores have provided us

with some leadership. The

team is making progress

every day," said Kilpatrick.

Several players have been

impressive in the early

workouts. Kilpatrick named

sophomore defensive ends

Calvin Harper of Forest and

Chris Perry of Decatur as two

of these. Fr eshmen who have

also looked impressive include
