Peter Jenkin, MD received his Medical Degree at McMaster University, Hamilton Ontario in 1975. After two
years of Internal Medicine training he did his Dermatology residency at McGill University finishing in 1980. Dr
Jenkin then went back to Hamilton where he was in private practice from 1980 to 2000.
During his tenure there, Dr Jenkin was active in academics training residents and giving numerous lectures to
various groups about Dermatology. He has been interested in lasers since they first became available in
dermatology and passed the American Board of Laser Surgery exams in 1987. He was also very active on the
political scene both locally where he served as the President of the Hamilton Academy of Medicine and
provincially where he was the Chair of the Section of Dermatology for the Ontario Medical Association.
In 2000, Dr Jenkin moved to Seattle where he worked to two different hospitals until 2010 when he purchased
Dermatology Associates and went back into private practice. His current practice is fairly comprehensive with
services offered in Moh's surgery, a full range of cosmetic dermatology services, general dermatology and clinical
research. He also continues to serve his community politically and has been elected President of the Washington
State Dermatology Association.
