Fenn Technologies, USA, has manufactured a range of wire drawing, wire shaping
and rolling mill equipment for over 100 years.
The company’s wire shaping equipment shapes round wire by drawing it through
two model 3U HP turks head units. These units are suitable for the production of
squares and rectangles using two simple roll adjustments.
The shaped wire is drawn onto a horizontal capstan fitted with extension arms suitable
for collecting loose coils of the shaped wire.
The unit includes a variable speed drive and recirculating coolant system with
individual flow controls, and is fully guarded for operator safety. Such units can be
incorporated with Fenn wire flattening mills to form wire flattening and shaping lines.
Fenn also makes other types of turks heads, suitable for irregular shaped wire
applications. Different types of pulling device are also available, including shedding
drums and plain faced double capstans.
The company also manufactures custom built wire drawing machines, swagers,
spring coilers and rolling mills.
