Note Hardware Fault Tolerance Check not made - Type B components with a SFF of 60 to

<90% must have a hardware fault tolerance of 1 according to table 3 for SIL2 subsystems.

Thus a single device is not normally appropriate against this criteria. However the

manufacture has provided prior and proven in use assessments performed by Exida, which

confirm the device complies with the requirements of BSEN 61511 and can be used as a

single device in a SIL 2 application.
