Building Maintenance - Aquatics Center [740-2120]

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION

The Community Services Department is responsible for all major repairs, preventive maintenance, capital improve-

ments and future replacement schedules for the Morgan Hill Dennis Kennedy Aquatics Center (AC).

FY 15-16 ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Upgraded scoreboard with improved signage

Supported the Information Services Division on the installation of private WiFi routers

Replaced a portion of the facility deck chairs

Replaced a portion of the pool lane lines

Replaced pace clocks

Replaced restroom and lobby floors

Relocated CO2 System to outdoor location to increase safety and improve ease of use

ACTIVITY GOALS

FY 16-17

Resurface pool deck

Replace pool drain grates as required

Replace the chlorine generator cell

Coordinate with Information Services to increase DVR storage

Add fencing to parking area to better control parking during major events

Replace concession line poles

Coordinate with IS to install a fiber data connection to the OSC from the AC

Provide maintenance to concrete areas and slide column bases

Repair restroom partitions

Recoat slide stairs epoxy

Replace mechanical room doors

FY 17-18

Improve restroom facilities and install swim suit spinners

Improve fencing for ease of customer use, safety and event access

Relocate networking systems into a temperature controlled area

FINANCIAL COMMENTS

The Building Maintenance Fund is an Internal Service Fund that recovers the cost of maintaining City facilities by charg-

ing the departments that use those facilities. An additional fee is charged for the scheduled future replacement of

major building equipment, such as mechanical systems.
