All athletes competing in any Special Olympic Sports must have a valid
Special Olympic Medical Form on file with the Village of Orland Park
Special Recreation Department. Deadlines are as follows: Floor Hockey,
Aug 1; SwimTeam, Oct 1; Hotshots Basketball, Oct 1; Chargers
Basketball, Nov 1; Winter Sports Training, Nov 1. All Special Olympic
athletes competing in any state tournament will be charged a $40 fee per
individual for the trip.

Special Olympic Floor Hockey
Our defending State Champion Floor Hockey team is back for
another exciting season! Join your friends in the fast paced sport
of floor hockey. Participants will work to develop stick handling
skills, hand eye coordination, passing, and sportsmanship.The
Special Olympics tournament is scheduled for November 9.

Is your Special Olympic Illinois Medical Application about to expire,
or have you always wanted to participate in Special Olympics, but have
not been able to get your application completed? Special Olympics
of Illinois has teamed up with medical professionals from Advocate
Health Group to provide free sports physicals for individuals with
special needs. To be eligible, please obtain a blank Med App from the
registration desk at Sportsplex or Recreation Administration building
and follow the instructions. This form must accompany you to the
Medfest where you will receive a sports physical. The doctor will
complete the remainder of the form. Please note that Med Apps are
valid for two years.
