Special Olympic Swim Team
Splash into Orland Park’s swim team! Swimmers who join the swim
teammust be able to swim one lap of the pool independently. A
swimming assessment will be done on the first week for any new athletes
that join. This programwill focus on stroke improvement, endurance,
breathing techniques, and achieving personal and team goals. Special
Olympics area meet and district meet dates TBD. No class November
30 and December 28.

Hot Shots Basketball Team
The Orland Park Hotshots Basketball Team is back in action, and ready
for a great year! This program focuses on basic skills and techniques of
basketball: dribbling, shooting, passing, and teamwork. After practicing
for a few weeks, Orland players will compete against other nearby youth
basketball teams. Schedules with game locations will be provided by
the second week of the program. Transportation is provided to all away
games. ITRS/Area tournament dates are TBA. No class November 30
and December 28.

Chargers Basketball
Come out and join another exciting season, and be a part of one of the
most successful Special Olympic programs that Orland Park has to
offer. Whether you are learning the basics or refining your skills, this
program provides great competition and opportunity to learn and enjoy
the game. Players will be transported from Franklin Loebe Center to
all away games. Teams will also compete at the Special Olympics Area
Tournament and the ITRS Tournament, dates TBA. No class Nov 26,
Dec 24 and Dec 31.

Special Olympic Winter Sports Training
Winter weather doesn’t stop Orland Park athletes from training and
competing outside! Time to get ready for our winter sports and train
for the Special Olympic Games held in February. Athletes can choose
to train and compete in cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or Alpine
skiing. Snowshoe equipment will be provided. No class November 30
and December 28.
