years now. You have also just returned from Dubai and
visit Dubai very frequently. What makes you promote this
destination with so much conviction?
Well as you correctly said I really travel to Dubai a lot and
can honestly say that I loved this city from the very first day
I visited. 18 years later I must admit that every time I visit
this city never ceases to amaze me. It is simply fantastic.
Dubai is one of few cities that can guarantee it all – great
weather, outstanding hotels, unique family fun attractions,
kilometers of amazing white beaches, world-class shopping
and superb cuisine. This glamorous hot spot is ever growing
and can be reached in just 5 flying hours from Malta to
Dubai.
Some Maltese people may have a different perspective
of Dubai and hence are not fully aware of what a great
destination Dubai really is, do you agree?
Due to my job I can say that I have seen many great cities
around the world, and believe me when I say that Dubai is
truly mind-blowing. It is an ultra-modern city which I love,
yet it offers an incredibly eclectic mix of things to do. In
a single day you can experience everything from domed
mosques, rugged mountains, endless deserts to sandy
beaches, palatial hotels, and fabulous family attractions
to superb shopping malls. Nightlife in Dubai has improved
dramatically over the years too, with trendy bars, fashionable
clubs and superb dine and dance restaurants open to the
public in many of the hotels. One has to experience the city
to appreciate how great it really is and once people visit
they will keep on returning time and time again.
Why does Dubai continually attract the retail shopper to
it's shores? What makes it really great?
Dubai is truly a shopper’s paradise. I would go as far
as saying that it is the very best in the world. It offers
hundreds of fascinating shopping malls within minutes
from each other; world-famous brands are all here
together with the ever so popular traditional souks. The
Downtown Dubai Mall which has been acclaimed as the
worlds’ largest has just recently been declared as the
