THE LADY and

T
wo of pop's biggest behemoths
have released albums within just a
few weeks of one another. Lady Gaga's
Joanne
–
the sixth LP in the 30-year-
old's career, and the first since her 2014
collaboration with Tony Bennett,
Cheek
To Cheek
–
is out right now. It includes
several treasures you're going to want to
turn up this summer; read Our Savannah's
review on page 76. Meanwhile Robbie
Williams is gifting us
The Heavy
Entertainment show
, which includes co-
writes with Rufus Wainwright, The Killers'
Brandon Flowers, Jewel, Ed Sheeran and
Gary Go (who is a favourite of
Gaga's). Like Gaga, Williams'
previous album was also
all about jazz; 2013's
Swing
Both Ways
featured covers
of swing standards as well
as originals. It was Williams'
eleventh release to debut at
#1 on the UK charts, and at
the time put him on par with
Elvis Presley as joint-second
with most UK number
one albums. If
The Heavy
Entertainment Show
goes
straight to the top of the
charts, he'll maintain his spot
at number two with Presley
and Madonna.
The Heavy Entertainment
Show
by Robbie Williams is out
November 4 via Sony.
Joanne
by Lady Gaga
is out now via
Universal.
