who identifies the deponent. This require

ment would appear to have been introduced

for the first time in rules made in 1886, and

no similar provision has ever been in the

English rules.

The Committee recom

mended that when next the rules are being

revised steps should be taken to have the

rule repealed, and the report was adopted.

MR. GEORGE P. CUSSEN having resigned his

membership of the Council, Mr. W. H. Fry,

being first on the supplemental list, has

succeeded to the vacancy.

Obituary.

MR. WILLIAM BRIDGE, Solicitor, Roscrea,

died upon the 3rd January, 1914, at Roscrea.

Mr. Bridge served his apprenticeship with

the late Mr. Samuel Hemphill, 106 Lower

Baggot Street, Dublin, was admitted in

Hilary Term, 1877, and practised at Roscrea

up to the year 1910, when he retired.

MR. WILLIAM A. COSGREAVE, Solicitor,

Rathkeale, died upon the 6th January, 19l4,

at his residence, Rathkeale.

Mr. Cosgreave served his apprenticeship

with his father, the late Mr. John F.

Cosgreave, Rathkeale, was admitted in Hilary

Sittings. 1903, and practised at Rathkeale.

MR. WILLIAM J. J. ROBINSON, Solicitor.

Boyle, died upon the llth January, 1914, at

his residence, Boyle.

Mr. Robinson served his apprenticeship

with Mr. William M. Beauchamp, Limerick,

was admitted in Easter Term, 1876, and

practised at Boyle.

THE Lord Chancellor has appointed the

following to be a Commissioner to administer
