Plasma cutter
with in-built air
compressor
GYS Ltd, a welding equipment and battery charger manufacturer,
has launched the 21KF lightweight, single phase 230V plasma
cutter. It features an in-built 60/70dB air compressor and
de-humidifier, making it suitable for use in workshops and
on-site in agricultural, construction, quarrying and engineering
applications, where compressed air supply may not be
available.
Utilising inverter technology, it is designed to cut at up to
20A using a 13A fuse plug, producing low intensity quality cuts
on 6mm thick steel, stainless steel and cast iron sheets as well
as on 4mm aluminium and copper sheets, including on painted
surfaces, without any distortion.
The GYS ‘Pilot Arc’ system enables the arc to start without
any contact with the sheet being cut, making it easy to use.
Starting without any HF avoids electromagnetic interference
(phones, computers radios, etc).
Other features include a 4m air cooled torch with a safety
trigger to avoid accidental starting of the unit, reinforced
protection for use with a generator, over voltage tested up to
400V, and IP23 protection against rain and dust impregnation.
Options include a Compass kit for circular cutting up to
134cm diameter, and a wheeled trolley to optimise the cutting
distance between the work surface and the torch nozzle.

Hydrostatic Testing Device
The hydrostatic testing device has been
developed to examine welded pipes through a
leak test. The testing process runs automatically
and the results are recorded as a diagram, saved,
and printed out on site.

• Pipe length: up to 18.300 mm
• Pipe weight: max. 25 t
• Pressure: max. 70,0 MPa depending on the
pipe diameter
