SKILL 2 – Opening/Closing the Wheelchair

lace your hands under the seat and behind
he back of the wheelchair
Lift up on the seat fabric and push in on the
back fabric to collapse wheelchair frame.
Place your hands on the metal bars on each
side of the seat of the wheelchair
Push down on each side of the chair evenly so
that the chair’s crossbar opens
Continue pushing until the crossbar is
ompletely deployed and the chair is fuly open
