The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) is an annual competition

presented by the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA)

International that recognizes properties that exemplify superior building quality

and excellence in building management.

The competition has three levels, beginning at the BOMA local association level.

All local winners advance to the regional competition. Regional winners then

have a chance to take home the honor of an International TOBY Award. Judging

is based on community impact, tenant/employee relations programs, energy

management systems, accessibility, emergency evacuation procedures, building

personnel training programs, and overall quality indicators.

This year, Cushman & Wakefield | Northmarq took home two International TOBY

Awards for TRIA Orthopaedic Center in the Medical Office category and Ford

Center in the Historical Building category. In addition, Cushman & Wakefield

won four regional awards and 18 local awards.
