In July, 1988, the Government
launched EUROPEN, the national
campaign to prepare for the
completion of the single European
market. A series of EUROPEN
Information Leaflets have been
published on various topics e.g. the
basic facts on 1992, consumer
protection, recognition of higher
education qualification (diplomas),
the social dimension of the Single
Ma r ke t, public procuremen t,
company l aw, mergers and
compe t i t i on, intellectual and
industrial property. The leaflets

The Irish Centre for European Law,
which was established in May 1988,
has published the proceedings of
three of its Conferences:

of the internal market. The Cll has
published the proceedings of
seminars which it held in 1988 in
the form of a book entitled

The seminars
dealt with individual and direct
taxation, company law, financial
services, trade, transport, public
