The 2014 US National Delegate Conference and Friendship Week

take place on board the Norwegian Gem cruise line 4 - 11 October,

60 years on

Section France and pays
tribute to the Section's
founder - Max Florentine.
60 years after the Section
was born, National
President of Section
France, Rose Lourme, met Max Florentin, who in 1953 became the
founding President.

IPA Turkey Celebrate
Top Award
The Secretary General of
Section Turkey, Dr. Fatih
Vursavaş, participated in the
9th International Symposium
for Best Police Practices in
April, 2013, in Dubai on behalf
of the Turkish National Police
and IPA Section Turkey.
The
conference was attended by more
than 500 security experts from 20 countries worldwide.
At the symposium, Fatih made a presentation about traffic campaigns
and projects that are carried out in Turkey within the framework of ‘A
Decade of Action’. As previously reported in the IAC Newsletter, some of
these campaigns, such as the Turkish government’s ‘Buckle-up Project’
and the 3rd Global Meeting of NGOs are organised by IPA Turkey.
Fatih Vursavaş’ efforts were rewarded when his presentation won the
top award.
PEB
Meet
in Brazil
The Permanent Executive
Bureau (PEB) held its meeting
in Sao Paulo, Brazil in June,
2013.
They were there to offer support to Section Brazil and
other Sections in Central and South America. The PEB was honoured to
be received at the civil police headquarters by the Chief of police for
Sao Paulo State, Mr Luiz Mauricio Souza Blazeck.
The PEB was treated to impressive displays at the Rondas Ostensivas
Tobias de Aguiar (ROTA - a special force of the São Paulo Military Police)
barracks and at the police cavalry barracks. They also made an official
visit to the police academy, where the IPA International President,
Pierre-Martin Moulin, was awarded the United Nations Peacekeeping
medal on behalf of the Association in the Hall of Human Rights.
