Fittings availability
Interservice Trading (IST) constantly expands its stock of
seamless BW fittings, allowing it to supply in breakdown and
shutdown situations where urgency and availability are vital.
The stock is characterised by the special and unusual sizes,
thicknesses and executions.
IST’s stock covers carbon and stainless steel bends in 90°
and 180° short radius only. In alloy steel the company stocks
45°, 90° and 180° LR and SR bends, concentric and eccentric
reducers, tees and reducing tees, as well as caps in sizes
ranging from ½" to 24" up to SCH 160 and XXS in WP1,
WP11, WP5, WP22, WP9 and WP91. The company only sells
through stockists and distributors, and is looking for parties to
help serve end-users in their own region and/or country.

Shut-off valves
Val-Matic’s range of shut-off valves consists of the Cam-
Centric
®
plug valves, American-BFV
®
butterfly valves and
EnerG
®
AWWA resilient seated ball valves.
Cam-Centric plug valves include features such as a fully
encapsulated plug, welded nickel seat, Grit Guard™ seals to
protect the valve shaft, bearings and seals, V-type packing,
and packing overload protection (POP™) shims to protect
packing from being overloaded during adjustment.
The
American-BFV
butterfly valve features a
ductile iron disc for added
strength, allowing the disc
to have a smaller cross
section and providing
improved
headloss
characteristics.
The EnerG ball valve
features the advantages of
a standard fusion bonded
epoxy interior and exterior
coating, and when fully
open provides 100 per cent flow area equal to the pipe size,
representing a saving in pumping costs.
Both the American-BFV butterfly and EnerG ball valve feature
the Tri-Loc™ seat retention system, assuring seat integrity
and allowing for easy adjustment or replacement in the field.
All Val-Matic shut-off valves are designed, manufactured and
tested in accordance with AWWA standards.
