Borsen Boru, founded in 1979, is a
distributor of stainless steel pipes,
valves and fittings, and a manufacturer
of TIG welded stainless steel pipes.
The company carries a wide range of
products from manufacturers in Europe,
and supplies its products and services
to companies in sectors including
petrochemical, chemical, energy,
shipbuilding, mechanical engineering,
construction, food and beverage
production, pipeline installation and
trading.
The company is the Turkish
representative and single distributor
of Ham-Let for valves and fittings, as
well as of Alfa-Laval for sanitary flow
equipment.
The Ham-Let Group specialises in the
design, development, production and
marketing of instrumentation valves and
fittings in a wide variety of materials for
high pressure, temperature and vacuum
applications. Alfa-Laval develops fluid
handling equipment, including valves,
installation material and tank equipment,
which can be delivered from Borsen
Boru’s warehouse upon request.
Borsen Boru started manufacturing TIG
welded stainless steel pipes in its own
facilities in 2006. The quality assurance
system for pipe production is certified
by international Lloyd’s associations.
The company’s test laboratory is an
important part of the quality assurance
process.
Various destructive and non-destructive
test procedures are available, such as
eddy current testing, surface roughness
measurements, hardness test, tensile
test, bend test and chemical analysis.

Borusan Mannesmann, a manufacturer
in the European steel pipe industry,
decided to strengthen its market
position in the USA and to be closer to
its customer base by commissioning a
new pipe mill with an annual production
capacity of 300ktons in Baytown,
Houston.
With an investment cost of US$150mn,
the mill will focus on the OCTG sector
and will employ 300 people when
operating at full capacity. Built on 125
acres of land, the mill is scheduled to
start production by the second half
of 2014. It is being equipped with
cutting-edge technology and has an
advantageous location with barge and
train capabilities.
Having served the US OCTG sector
for years, with this investment Borusan
Mannesmann exhibited a strategic and
long-term view of the American market
due to its size and quality approach.
Borusan’s pipe facility
The company will continue its production
operations in its Italy and Turkey mills.
Founded in 1958, Borusan Mannesmann
serves customers with a wide product
range from 4.6 to 3,048mm diameter,
and thicknesses from 0.6 to 25.4mm.
The company’s product range includes
water pipes, oil and gas line pipes,
industrial pipes and profiles, automotive
pipes, installation pipes, OCTG pipes
and hollow sections. Exporting 60
per cent of its production, Borusan
Mannesmann has experience in oil and
gas pipeline projects, both in domestic
and international markets, with high-
grade API standards.

Bosal Benelux is one of the largest
producers of electrical welded precision
steel tubes in the Benelux area. The
company’s range covers tubes from
16 to 80mm. Tubes are high frequency
welded, and available in hot rolled, cold

stainless steel and Magnelis.
The company also offers added value
services such as punching, drilling,
expanding/diameter reduction, sawing,
laser cutting and bending operations.
