TUBE PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL March 2014
7-11 April 2014
International Industries Ltd
Pakistan

Pipe manufacturer International
Industries Ltd (IIL) was established
in Pakistan in 1948 as Sultan Chinoy
& Company. A year later it was
incorporated as International Industries
Ltd.
The company’s products are featured in
major developmental work undertaken
in Pakistan, from supplying gas to
villages in the Northern Mountains, to
architectural projects in the southern
metropolis.
Since its inception, IIL has been
committed to expanding its product line,
and introducing new technologies in
pipe making to the industry of Pakistan.
In 1965 the company launched a line of
electric resistance welded steel pipe;
galvanised pipe was introduced in 1983.
IIL continued to expand its facilities, and
set up a cold rolling mill in 1990. In 2005,
the company achieved certification to
API Q1 & 5L (2000).
In 2006, IIL took a step outside its
traditional area of steel pipes by
manufacturing polyethylene line
pipes. Additionally, the mill has an
independent power source in the form
of co-generation power plants. The
company has added galvanising plants,
plastic extruders, slitters and multiple
tube mills to its production facilities.
The company is ISO 9001, OHSAS –ISO
18001 and ISO 14001 certified, as well
as having CE Mark certification. It also
won an Annual Environment Excellence
Award in 2011 from the National Forum
for Environment and Health (NFEH).
The company owns 56 per cent share
capital of its registered subsidiary,
International Steel Ltd, a manufacturer
of cold roll steel coils and galvanised
steel coils.
IIL’s exports cover 30 countries around
the world. Its product range includes
cold rolled steel tubes, galvanised pipe,
API line pipe, L, T, Z and D profiles,
scaffolding and black pipe, HDPE water
pipe, HDPE duct pipe, MDPE pipe and
PEX.
Iron’s Technology Srl
Italy
6K49
Iron’s Technology will be displaying
its metal tube plastic deformation
machine. The MAS-1 is able to realise
optimal shaped tubes from off-the-shelf
production tubes.
The machine has two forming tools
working in opposition and translating
along the main axis. The pipe is locked
between two grip spindles or clamps
and has the possibility of rotating
around its axis, so it is machined in cold
deformation.
The combination of pipe rotation and
forming tools translation allows many
different deformations on the tube, and
offers multiple machining possibilities
with a variety of shapes and pitch,
suitable for various sectors, from heat
exchange to structural construction.
The rotation of the pipe and transfer
of the carriage are driven by a Fanuc-
FA brushless motor, for guaranteed
positioning
and
interpolation
repeatability. The tool heads are
available with pneumatic or oleo
dynamics actuator and proportional
control, adding power and precision to
the applied tools.
The machine carriage, designed and
built with the same quality criteria
as the bench, is available in various
dimensions: the S series, with one only
vertical head, needs little space and
has a light structure, while the more
powerful EL and HT series require more
housing space and a larger support
structure.
The economical and compact S series
has a single head and can perform
simple machining operations quickly
and precisely. It can machine pipes up
to 2mm thick, with maximum diameter
of 30mm.
The EL series is configurable to the
user’s needs. All the accessories are
designed and produced on the basis
of shapes that have to be realised.
This version can machine pipes up to
5mm thick, with maximum diameter of
250mm.
The HT series is the most powerful, and
has many customised accessories. It
can machine pipes up to 10mm thick,
with maximum diameter of 500mm.
Lang Tube Tec
Germany
5G16
Lang Tube Tec will be using its presence
at Tube 2014 to launch the new 80CNC-
EMR – a fully electrically powered
automatic bending machine using a
lifting table that creates vertical shift of
collet rotation and mandrel retract at the
same time.
The integrated booster for applying
additional pressure on the pipe while it
is being bent is also driven on the lifting
table during the same stage of work.
Other features of the CNC-E series
include the drive-click system for
storing motor parameters, a new control
with intuitive graphic user interface, and
torque-controlled tube clamping.
The model being shown in Düsseldorf
will be equipped with an optical weld
seam scanning device that helps
correctly and precisely align the tube’s
weld seam.
Lang Tube Tec’s innovation realises the
benefits of greater rigidity, 100 per cent
synchronicity of both units’ movement,
and high booster forces that may be
applied directly and centrally. “Our
new concept means that we’re able
