March 2014 TUBE PRODUCTS INTERNATIONAL

7-11 April 2014
STAROFIT Klose GmbH & Co KG
Germany
1B17
STAROFIT traditionally moves a large
selection of its products (more than
40 tons) to Düsseldorf in order to give
visitors the opportunity to experience
the products first-hand.
Visitors will be able to see steel, alloy
steel and stainless steel butt-welding
fittings and elbows.
The company has a permanent fittings
stock of 6,500 tons, to provide prompt
responses to customers’ requests and
to process orders rapidly.
The holdings range from a large stock
of ASME and EN/DIN standardised
products to highly specialised elbows
and fittingswithextremewall thicknesses
and exceptional dimensions made of
carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless
steel.
With an emphasis on quality, STAROFIT’s
rigorous supplier selection process
accepts only products from ISO, PED
and TÜV approved manufacturers.
The company also specialises in
demand-based tailor-made elbows
and fittings to cater to complex
requirements, to provide products
that are sustainable under extreme
conditions (eg temperature, pressure
and mediums).
The ability to fulfil unique requests, even
on short notice, provides customers
with an additional advantage.
STAROFIT is certified in accordance
with ISO 9001, PED 97/23/EC and
AD2000-W 0, and allows the products
to be installed in plants subject to
monitoring.
Stauff
Germany
1E29
Walter Stauffenberg GmbH & Co KG
operates under the trade name Stauff,
developing, producing and marketing
fluid technology components for use
in plant construction and mechanical
engineering.
The rising demands on all components
and systems used within industrial water
cycles are the result of the trend towards
increasingly high operating pressure
levels of up to 500 bar, and reduced
water quantities used during descaling
processes of steel components,
eg in continuous milling and casting
procedures, oil removal from hot-rolled
sheeting and removing pickling residue
in the mill train.
Stauff clamps from the Construction
Series enable a secure and controlled
fastening of pipes with outside diameters
between 220 and 1,000mm. Depending
on their size, either four or five plastic
pipe saddles made of polyamide provide
the required protection to the pipeline
and effectively dampen vibrations
and noises, such as those created by
pressure fluctuations and peaks within
the system.
The assembly principle of clamps from
the Construction Series is simple, and
they can be installed on-site without
special tools. The pipe rests on the
lower clamp half, a primed or hot-dip
galvanised one-piece steel construction
that can be welded or bolted to the
substructure, or embedded in cement,
as required. The upper clamp part lies
on top and is connected to the lower
half by two M30 threaded rods.
This provides a maintenance-free pipe
clamping system, while still remaining
detachable at all times (eg for inspection,
repair or exchange of the pipe, or the
installation of additional components
to the system), which ensures a high
level of operational safety for the entire
water system, in spite of the increasing
demands.
Steelbow Oy
Finland
1D23
Steelbow specialises in manufacturing
large steel elbows for the process
industry. Production can cover
diameters from 204 to 406.4mm,
and the company’s current customer
base consists of international HVAC
wholesale traders.
Main production volumes are currently
in materials 1.4307, 1.4404, 1.4541 and
1.4571, where wall thicknesses vary
between 2 and 4mm. New materials/
diameters are introduced on a continuous
basis, with the latest addition being
Ø 204x2 in 1.4307 and 1.4404.
Steelbow recently finalised significant
production capacity expansion, and can
supply stainless steel elbows in high
volumes with flexibility.
Tracto-Technik GmbH & Co KG
Germany
5E21
At Tube 2014, Tracto-Technik will present
technology for bending and processing
tubes, as well as high-precision
measuring systems for quality control
and reverse engineering, and software
solutions for tube shop automation and
workflow optimisation.
In tube bending technology, the
company will show the servo-electrically
driven, multi-radius CNC tube bending
machine Tubotron 25 MR for tubes from
4 to 25mm OD, without any hydraulics.
The machine’s exposed and compact
bending head enables the production of
complex tube shapes at bending speeds
up to 170°/sec. The main applications
