Growing need for reliable,
safe waste water management
For the construction industry, delivering
reliable, cost-effective and sustainable
water and sanitation management
systems is a necessity. Responding to
these challenges, SABIC has launched
PP RELY 61EK61 PS, a polypropylene-
basedpipematerial specifically geared to
contribute to more efficient waste water
management and deliver advantages to
the building and construction industry.
The new grade is an extension of
SABIC’s advanced RELY family,
comprising SABIC PP RELY and SABIC
Vestolen A RELY, which supports a more
sustainable production and usage of
pressure pipes.

PP RELY 61EK61 PS is the result of
several years of extensive research to
produce a PP pipe grade with high
molecular weight and custom-made
rubber particle distribution. Converters
will benefit from the product’s intrinsic
properties, which are maintained in
challenging environments where soil
conditions demand materials with
high stiffness levels. These properties
include a broad processing window,
and high stiffness in combination
with high impact resistance even at
low temperatures. This leads to more
reliable pipe systems through minimised
leakage and the prevention of ground
water pollution, making it a valuable
asset for demanding non-pressure
sewage and drainage pipe systems.
Manufactured in Europe, SABIC PP
RELY 61EK61 PS also meets the most
stringent industry requirements, EN
13476 and EN 1852 for corrugated pipe
systems and compact solid wall pipe
systems for various pipe dimensions.
The grade’s high thermal stability
and mechanical properties also make
it valuable for the manufacturing of
industrial sheets used in applications
such as construction or chemical
engineering.
