Standards of Care
The enclosed Standards of Care have been formulated by the QA/CQI Coordinator based
on standardized clinical assessment parameters as documented in the medical literature. All
Standards of Care have been reviewed and accepted by the QA/CQI committee.
OBJECTIVE:
To effectively and uniformly assess documentation for the minimum requirements in chart
and telemetry completeness based on the patient’s chief complaint.
MONITORING:
Each year the QA/CQI Coordinator will designate a set number of Standards of Care to be
reviewed by the QA/CQI committee for both chart and telemetry completeness. Results will
be posted for staff review with any corrective action being done by the Clinical Coordinator.
OUTCOME:
All patients falling under the category reviewed will be assessed in an efficient and effective
manner as based on standardized clinical practices in the pre-hospital setting.
