SCRT with delayed surgery can induce similar tumor
response/downstaging to CRT

Adding ‘stronger’ chemo to chemoradiation doesn’t help (negative trials
with incorporation of oxaliplatin)

Move standard multi-drug chemotherapy from adjuvant to
neoadjuvant setting

Treat micro-metastatic disease earlier
