INDEXPattern Energy Group has signed
a 13-year agreement to sell power
generated from the 150MW Fowler
Ridge 4 wind farm in Indiana, to Amazon
Web Services.
Construction of the wind farm, renamed
Amazon Web Services Wind Farm
(Fowler Ridge), will begin in April 2015.
When commissioned, by late 2015 or
early 2016, the project will generate
around 500,000MWh of energy per year.
Pattern Energy announced the addition
of 120MW of owned interest in the
project to its list of identified right of
first offer (ROFO) projects from Pattern
Development.

Mike Garland said: “Pattern Energy is
providing wind power to America’s
top corporations and looks forward
to working with Amazon Web Services
upon the acquisition of this exciting
new project, which has been added to
our growing ROFO list.
“In the past 18 months we have acquired
four projects from Pattern Development
with an aggregate owned capacity
of 557MW and have also added an
additional five projects, including
Amazon Web Services Wind Farm
(Fowler Ridge), to the ROFO list with an
aggregate capacity of 553MW.”
