Bantam Miniature Thermocouple

Assernblies

have

a

maximum service temperature

of 1300"F (700"C)

depending on the type and gauge of thermocouple

wire

used.

They

have limited use

at

high temperatures due to the types

of

insulation used in their

construction.

Miniature thermocouples

are

more flexable than MGO (Swaged) types.

118",3/16",

and

114"

O.D. tube

assemblies are

made wiith

sillcon

impregnated

fiberglass

insulated

elements.

Standard

assemblies are

supplied with a floating junction

and

solid

round pin male plug and female

jack.

Since the junction is floating, the tube or

element can

be

easily replaced.

Optional 1/8" NPT

stainless

steel compression

fittings

can be

attached

by adding

a

"CF"

to the

end

of the

paft number.

A

1/S"

fitting

is standard

on

1/8"

and 3/16"

O.D.

tubes.

A

1/4"

NPT

compression

fitting

is standard on

all

1/4" O.D. tubes.

Bantam Subminiature Thermocouple

Assemblies

have

a

maximum service

temperature of

400'F

(204"C)

depending on the type and gauge of thermocouple wire

used.

They have limited use

at

high temperatures due to the types

of

lnsulation used

in

their

construction.

Subminiature thermocouples

are

more flexable than MGO (Swaged)

Vpes.

The

1

116"

diameter thermocouples

are

made with Kapton insulated thermocouple

wire, which can

be

used

up

to

400"F

(204"C).

Standard

assemblies are

supplied with

a

floating junction and flat

pin

male plug and female

jack.

Since

the

junction is floating,

the

tube

or

Arrnored

Cable

lf

a

armored

cable is

required on any Miniature Assembly,

add "AC-*

" where the* equals the length of armored

cable

and extension

wire.

The

wire

inside the armored

cable is

made

from

16 gauge solid

Teflon

extension

wire

unless

otheruise

specified.

The O.D. of

the

cable

is approximately 1/4" (6.35 mm)

(AC4).

3"

of

bare

leads is provided

standard. 3/16"

(48 mm) O.D. (AC3) is also stocked for smaller

extension

wire.

See also

Bantam Extensions

in

this catalog.

Plugs may be attached to

ceramic

insulators by

a

special tube adaptor for applications where an exposed junction and

a

male plug is

required.

A3116" (4.8mm) Alumina insulator

is

standard but Mullite can also

be

specified.
