Yes, a Georgia State fishing license is required to
fish at Hunter Park. Hunter Park is a catch and release
facility.
Q: Will there be any outdoor pavilions at Hunter
Park?

The Douglasville Parks & Rec Department has
budgeted for one pavilion to be built at Hunter Park
in 2016. We currently have a pavilion in our baseball
plaza area for rent. For information, call

Q: Can you put a barbe-
cue grill on the terrace
at Hunter Park?

No. Hunter Park has
a designated area for
grilling and frying. Please

Q: Is the patio/terrace
included when reserv-
ing the ballroom, full
and half?
A:
Yes, the patio is included in the rental fee for the
ballroom.
Q: What is the largest room available at the Hunter
Park Ike Owings Community Center?
A:
The ballroom is the largest room at the community
center which can accommodate approximately 140
people. The ballroom comes with tables and chairs and
includes a warming kitchen.
Q: Are the Fourth of July fireworks shot from
Hunter Park?
A:
No. Fireworks are displayed from West Pines Golf
Course. Best viewing sites include Arbor Place Mall
and surrounding areas.
Q: Is the arcade at Hunter Park’s Ike Owings
Community Center open to the public?
A:
Yes, the arcade is available to the public and is
also available for birthday parties, family reunions,
and other special events.
Q: How long are the walking tracks?
A:
At Hunter Park, 3 laps = 1 mile. At Fowler Field,
3 laps = 1-1/4 miles. At Jessie Davis Park, 5 laps
= 1 mile.

Davis Park. The computer lab consists of desktop
computers and tablets. Tablets are also available
in the lobby area at Hunter Park. See ad on page
