A manufacturer of stainless steel, nickel alloys and titanium
wire, Zapp Precision Wire Inc, is expanding its operations in
Dorchester County, South Carolina. The company will be
investing $30 million in the expansion, creating an expected
20 additional jobs.
Founded in 1701 in Germany as a craft trade firm, the Zapp
Group companies have expanded their interests to include
three main business areas of precision strip, precision wire
and materials engineering. The group has a global footprint,
with operations in Asia, Europe, North America and South
America.
Zapp Group opened its first US production facility in
Dorchester County in 1996. The expanded facility will allow
the firm to accommodate a new production line, as well as
manufacturing machinery and equipment. The expansion
will add approximately 30,000ft

to the existing facility.
