IMRT QA - The pessimistic point of view

We are forced to do it for

every

patient because we are

not confident enough in our equipment

It takes an awful lot of time

This gamma acceptance criteria look very fancy, but do

they really check what they are meant to?

No one really knows when to stop (20th patient? 100th

patient? 101th?) People basically stop when they are

exhausted, which is not a very rational criteria.

Let’s face it: IMRT verification is one big mess.
