, we explore the concept of confidence, its

meaning to our girls during their time at Havergal and its value beyond the ivy. Confidence

is an integral component in the living of Havergal’s values—Integrity, Inquiry, Compassion

and Courage—and is exemplified in the school’s mission statement:

As the Chair of the Havergal College Board of Governors and the Chair of The Havergal

College Foundation Board of Trustees for the 2015–16 school year, we have been privileged

to lead a senior group of volunteers in carrying forward the school’s strategic vision. We

would like to take this opportunity to thank our fellow governors and trustees for their

commitment to Havergal.

We would also like to acknowledge other groups who provide opportunities for confidence-

building through enhancing the engagement between our students and our rich and varied

community. The volunteers of the Havergal Old Girls Association (HOGA) and the Havergal

College Parents Association (HCPA) are two such groups, and we extend our gratitude

to them for the important work they do in keeping the Havergal community vibrant and

connected.

We appreciate the philanthropic support of each and every one named in this

Annual Report

and we invite our entire community to invest in our students as we foster opportunities

to develop individual passions and confidence in who they are. The Limitless Campaign

will bring to life our strategic vision of delivering leading programs in spaces that inspire

learning. The facilities that our students use today have largely been financed by generous

donations from prior Havergal generations. It is our collective responsibility to invest now for

your daughters and for future students.
