OBITUARY.
MR. JAMES P. FAGAN, Solicitor died upon
the 3rd November, 1931.
Mr. Fagan was admitted in Michaelmas
Sittings, 1877, and practised at Tullamore up
to 1892, when he was appointed Clerk of the
Crown for King's County.
He held the office of Clerk of the Peace for
King's County from 1883 to 1926, and that of
Clerk of the Crown from 1892 to 1922.
MR. DENIS F. SLATTERY, Solicitor, died
upon the 6th November, 1931, at his resi–
dence, Dungarvan.
Mr. Slattery was admitted in Hilary Term,
1874, and practised at Dungarvan up to
1924, when he retired.
MR. HERBERT D. VAUGHAN, Solicitor, died
upon the 6th November, 1931, at Dublin.
Mr. Vaughan served his apprenticeship
with the late Mr. W. P. Kelly, Athlone, was
admitted
in Trinity Sittings, 1896, and
practised at 11 Hume Street, Dublin.
MR. WILLIAM CAMPBELL MEEKE, Solicitor,
died upon the 16th November, 1931, at his
residence, 12 Kenilworth Road, Dublin.
Mr. Meeke was admitted in Hilary Sittings,
1889, and practised at 119 St. Stephen's
Green, Dublin.
MR. JOSEPH A. SHAW, Solicitor, died upon
the 22nd November, 1931, at his residence,
" Bloomfield," Mullingar.
Mr. Shaw served his apprenticeship with
Mr. Thomas G. Ouirke, Dublin, was admitted
in Trinity Sittings, 1906, and practised at
Mullingar.
MR. ALEXANDER J. TAYLOR, Solicitor, died
upon the 23rd November, .1931, at his resi–
dence, 4 Longford Terrace, Monkstown, Co.
Dublin.
Mr. Taylor was admitted in Easter Sittings,
1880, and practised at 21 Wellington Quay,
Dublin, up to 1911, when he retired.

LAND ACT, 1931.
The Judicial Commissioner has settled
provisional suggestions for the making of
applications under Section 36 of the Land
Act, 1931.
Copies of these provisional suggestions can
be obtained on application at the Registrar's
Office, 24 Upper Merrion Street, Dublin.
CIRCUIT COURT RULES.
Copies of the Rules of the Circuit Court of
Justice, which come into operation on the
1st day of January, 1932, can be obtained at
the Government Publications Office, 5 Nassau
St., Dublin, price one shilling and threepence.
LOCKERS.
Members can rent lockers in the Solicitors'
Buildings, Four Courts, for the sum of live
shillings per annum.
Application should be
made to the caretaker.
HILARY SITTINGS LECTURES.
The Junior Class Lectures will begin on
Wednesday, 13th January.
The Senior Class Lectures will begin on
Tuesday, 12th January.
The Lectures will be delivered
in
the
Solicitors' Buildings, Four Courts, at 2.15 p.m.
