MEETING OF THE COUNCIL.

Twenty-eight Members present.
The Council discharged a considerable
amount of routine business.
CIRCUIT COURT RULES.
fmt Order XV., Rule 3.
The Council of
the Society has been
advised by Senior Counsel that there is
grave doubt as to the validity of the Circuit
Court..rule permitting judgment by default-
of appearance in cases of a liquidated claim
to be entered in the office of the County
Registrar. The Council suggests to members
that until a decision as
to the validity
of the' rule is given, it would be advisable,
in default cases, to apply to the Circuit
Court Judge for judgment on notice to the
defendant.
GENERAL MEETING.
A Half-yearly General Meeting of
the
Society will be held in the Solicitors' Build–
ings, Four Courts, Dublin, on Thursday, the
12th day of May, 1932, at half-past two
o'clock p.m.
