The
ancient
history
of
beer
has

traced
back

Germans

thousand
years

Egyptian
records

Pharaohs.
The

ancient
kind
of
Egyptian
beer
was
brewed
from
barley
and
was
called
'
hag,'
and
was
imbibed
freely
by
the
Pharaohs
as
by

common
people.
The
most
famous
beer
city
was
Pelusium.
In
Alexandria,
too,
great
quantities
of
beer
was
brewed.
