T he D a n ish Club is m uch like the R u ssia n ; chiefly

an establishm en t for card p la y in g , b illiard s, chess,

& c ., for m en in office, m erc h an ts, and citizens in

easy circum stances. D u rin g the w inter, fo rtn ig h tly

or m onthly balls (except a t the K ing’s and M ilitary

Clubs) are added to the o rd in ary am usem en ts. T h e

chief clubs in C openhagen a re :
