Sarah killen has been making jewelry for over ten years. Her company
Saint Claude, named after the Bywater street where her first studio was
located, is now housed in a hundred and twenty five year old shotgun
double in the Irish Channel. Sarah creates original designs in wax,
favoring local flora and fauna, indigenous creatures and 18th century
architectural details. Shen then casts them in sterling silver, brass and
twenty four carat gold using the lost wax technique. Some necklaces are
delicate, some rings are bold–all of her adornments reference Crescent
City curiosities and antique ornamentation.
